  1. How to add a new domain to my hosting account (Windows Hosting) ?
  2. Login to your Hosting Control Panel (Hsphere) and select Domains. Select "Add New Domain". On next page select "Transfer an existing domain". Enter the domain you want to host with us. Selecting this option does not transfer your domain to us. It just sets up the website on our servers so that it can be hosted by us when you point its name servers to us.

  3. What are the domain extensions which I can register through HostStore.net?
  4. The following domain extensions can be registered through HostStore.net:

    .com
    .net
    .org
    .info
    .biz

    Please note that HostStore.net do not register local domain names. You have to find a local registrant inorder to register your local domain name.

  5. What are the valid characters and valid lengths for domain names?
  6. 1) The English-language letters A through Z, and the digits 0 through 9.
    2) You may also use hyphens (-).
    3) Your domain cannot begin or end in a hyphen and you cannot have two hyphens in a row.
    4) Spaces and special characters (such as !, $, &, and so on) are never permitted.
    5) The maximum length is 63 characters.
    6) Domain names are NOT case sensitive. You may advertise your name in upper or lower case or a combination of both.

  7. What is a subdomain and how do I create one?
  8. subdomain is a lower level domain. It is added on the left of the domain name, e.g. subdomain.yourdomain.com. It acts as an independant site.

    For Linux Accounts Please follow the instructions at the cPanel 7 User Guide.

  9. How do I transfer my domain name to HostStore.net?
  10. You have to contact your domain name registrar and have them transfer your domain name to our DNS numbers or you can replace the current name servers listed with your domain name with the following HostStore.net DNS Information.
    It is very important that there are no typos or other errors in this section. If you do not list the name servers exactly as they appear below your domain name it will not work as expected. Always double and triple check to be sure this is entered in exactly as it appears below.

    For Windows Accounts:
    Primary DNS : ns5.hoststore.net
    Primary IP : 216.157.145.12
    SecondaryDNS : ns6.hoststore.net
    SecondaryIP : 216.157.145.13

    For Linux Accounts:
    Primary DNS : ns15.dnsprotect.com
    Primary IP : 66.246.51.173
    SecondaryDNS : ns16.dnsprotect.com
    SecondaryIP : 66.246.51.174

  11. I registered my domain name through HostStore.net, When it will be active?
  12. Usually it takes about 24-72 hours before it is visible to all users of the Internet.
    This is because All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations.

  13. Do I need to change the DNS information of my domain name if I registered it trough HostStore.net?
  14. This depends on where do you host your new domain name.
    If you host your domain name on HostStore.net servers; we will do necessary changes for you.
    If you host your domain name on other hosting companies then you have to change the DNS of your domain name to reflect the hosting company server names.

  15. Who owns the domain name if I registered it through HostStore.net?
  16. At all times you are the Owner of your domain name whether you decided to host use us as your web host or not.

  17. Do I need a domain to host a site with Hoststore.net?
  18. It is not necessary to have a domain name in order to host a web site with us. In this case your address will be something like http://yourname.hoststore.net/. This address is called a sub-domain and is ideal for personal web sites.

  19. Can I have multiple domain names pointed to my current website?
  20. Yes, in this case you have to change your domain DNS information to reflect our name servers (please refer to: How do I transfer my domain name to HostStore.net?).

    Please Create New Support Ticket in order to point your domain to your main web hosting account.

    It will cost you only $25 One Time Non-refundable setup fee for every domain name to be pointed to your current hosting account.
